Fuchsia Ribbon Flower

Materials

  • Wired Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Needle
  • 4 Stamen in size to compliment ribbon
  • Hand quilting thread or upholstery thread to match ribbon

Step 1

Cut 3 RW of wired ribbon. (RW stands for ribbon width. Using RW for a measurement allows you to use any size ribbon for your flower.)

Step 2

Fold ribbon so that edges meet and slightly overlap in the middle.

Step 3

Attach stamen to inside center of fuchsia.

Step 4

Starting at right corner, use a running stitch to sew a diamond shape around ribbon. At each point, the thread should go under and then over the fabric end. This will help when pulling the thread snug in the next step. Leave thread tail.

Step 5

Pull thread snug until flower is formed. Knot thread. Cut thread tails.

Step 6

Shape fuchsia into tips.
